Who we are
ReWeb builds websites for tourism businesses. ReWeb is run by Bennett Nittke, based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
We are responsible for your personal data as described here. Questions? Email [email protected].
What we collect and why
When you use the contact form: your name, email address, business name, message, the call time you pick, your time zone and any note you add. We use this to reply to you, arrange the call and, if you want, build your free demo. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before a possible agreement (GDPR article 6(1)(b)).
When you email us: your email address and whatever you write. We use it to answer you, on the same legal basis.
If you become a client: your contact and business details, and the content you send us for your website (texts, photos). We use this to carry out our agreement and to send invoices (article 6(1)(b), and 6(1)(c) for our legal duty to keep financial records).
If we contacted you first: we sometimes email or call tourism businesses we think could use a better website. We use the business contact details you published yourself, for example on your website or Google Maps. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in offering our services to businesses (article 6(1)(f)). You can tell us to stop at any time. We will then not contact you again and delete your details, keeping only a note that you do not want to be contacted.
Visiting this website
We don't use cookies, analytics or tracking. The site only remembers the language you choose, in your own browser (local storage). That information is never sent to us.
Our hosting provider processes your IP address to deliver the site and protect it from attacks. The fonts and scripts are stored on our own site, so your visit is not shared with Google or other font or script providers.
The map on some of our demo sites loads map images from Esri. When you open one of those pages, your IP address is sent to Esri, which may be outside the EU.
Who else handles your data
We don't sell your data or share it for marketing. We use these services to run our business:
- Cloudflare: hosts this website and forwards email sent to [email protected].
- FormSubmit (formsubmit.co): delivers the contact form to our email.
- Google (Gmail and Google Workspace): our email inboxes.
Some of these services are based in the United States. Cloudflare and Google take part in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Where a transfer outside the EU is not covered by that, it relies on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or on it being necessary to answer your request.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that don't lead to work: up to 12 months after our last contact.
- Businesses we contacted first who didn't reply: up to 12 months, or straight away if you ask us to stop.
- Client records and invoices: 7 years, as Dutch tax law requires.
Your rights
You can ask us to see, correct or delete your data, to limit how we use it, or to send it to you in a usable format. You can also object to us using it, including for the contact described above. Email [email protected] and we will answer within a month.
If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) at autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.
Changes
If we change how we handle data, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
